The observation: 30% of the world's food production, representing 1000 Md $ of market value and 3.3md tons of CO2 rejected, is wasted every year (source FAO 2013). 25% of these losses come from supply chains because weathering factors (temperature, humidity, shocks ...) are poorly controlled what leads to the premature degradation of perishable products. Without information on their actual state, the operators throw them, preferring the precautionary principle because of regulatory requirements.

The innovation: Based on connected sensors, data analyzes and restitution interfaces, Biotraq establishes the traceability of the quality that guarantees the state of the product and tells its history, from the producer to the consumer.
